The uncooperative weather didn’t matter to those willing to help as both food drive locations witnessed many shoppers donate a lot of groceries for those in need this year. Folks at both locations even donated cash and gift cards for the charities.
The final haul at Market Basket in Bedford, plus $312 cash for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank and New Horizons of NH. Thank you for your donations!
After all was said and done, the food pantry manager from New Horizons estimates they received about 100 bags of food and five boxes full. That equates to $1,500 worth of food, and about 30 families fed for one week.
Merrimack Valley Food Bank posted on Facebook that Frank 106.3 helped collect over 2,000 pounds of food including 14 turkeys at the Nashua food drive.
Thank you to everyone that donated and for all you do to help fight hunger!
